The Relationship Between Sleep and Cognitive and Physical Health

This investigation aimed to assess the relationship between chronic sleep and cognitive and physical health in preadolescent children ages 8 to 9 years. The hypothesis is that hours of sleep received per night will correlate positively with aerobic fitness levels, crystallized and fluid intelligence, and attentional inhibition abilities, as well as correlate negatively with BMI and fat mass.

The goal of this experiment was to examine changes in HRV when humans are exposed to different frequencies of noise (white, pink, and brown, with ambient noise and silence used as controls).
